ildlife
in Rajasthan primarily consists of those surviving on dry deciduous forests
of the eastern parts and those on arid zones in the west. Surprisingly,
Rajasthan is full of diverse wild animals. Even more interesting is the fact
that all such areas are relatively easily accessible and can be well
connected with each other into a circuit.
The forests in the eastern part of the state are a home to the
Tiger and Ranthambhore is quite famous for its visibility. Along
with the tiger, other animals like leopard, jackals, chinkara, antelopes,
etc. are commonly found.

Bharatpur National Park boasts of best concentration of waterfowls. Besides
the rare Siberian cranes and Indian Saras bird, a whole range of migratory
birds from central Asia settle here every winter. Pythons too are commonly
seen. Lesser-known places like sambhar salt lake attract flamingoes and
several other cranes in every season.
Western Rajasthan, being dry and less forested, cannot sustain wildlife
without people's protection. Due to this protection West Rajasthan too is
abundant with antelopes, black bucks, peacocks, etc. The annual arrival of
migratory demoiselle cranes to villages like kheechan, Guda and Balotra is
due to this factor alone. Desert National Park has been created covering
larger areas of Thar desert offering much needed protection to many
reptiles, Great Indian Bustard, foxes, etc.
Proper and adequate facilities to stay in and around these places enable
the best wildlife experience in this part of the world.
